The Prince George's Chargers Youth Flag Football program began in 2012 and was created to provide the football experience to young people though a non-contact, co-ed program from ages 4-12 years old. The program is held in the spring and focuses on skills, safety, fitness and match readiness. The PG Chargers participate in two flag leagues, a 7 on 7 passing league and a 8 on 8 flag league. The 7 on 7 passing league participates in the Metropolitan American Youth Football & Cheerleading Conference (METRO AYF) and the 8 on 8 flag program is a members of the Clinton Boys & Girls Club Youth Flag League based in Clinton, Maryland.
